With one of their main focuses being Older People and Housing, they are now searching for an Assistant Housing Manager, to join their London based team, initially on a 15-month maternity cover, fixed term contract.
As an Assistant Housing Manager you will work closely with the Housing Manager to support the delivery of operational efficiency across the Company's six residential sites and services for 206 residents, including leasehold. You will provide excellent customer service to residents and work to ensure that each site is safe, secure and compliant with regulatory requirements. As well as, supporting the development and implementation of new systems and processes, providing guidance on Housing policies and procedures and working closely with the finance team to manage rental income and invoice payment. You will also deputise in the absence of the Housing Manager.
Individuals with a background in property management and knowledge of housing benefits are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in IT and database management is essential, alongside exceptional customer service skills and administration skills.
Please note, this is a full-time role, 32.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday and you will be required to work on-site at their offices, based in Bank. Occasional visits to the schemes and national travel, may be required. Work from home days will be considered, depending on service need.

The Company is looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Housing Manager to join the Housing team on a Fixed Term Contract for 15 months.
The Assistant Housing Manager reports to the Housing Manager to support the delivery of operational efficiency across the Company's six residential sites and services for 206 residents, including leasehold. The role will provide excellent customer service to our residents and work to ensure that each site is safe, secure and compliant with regulatory requirements. The AHM will support the development and implementation of new systems and processes and provide guidance on Housing policies and procedures. This role will work closely with the finance team to manage rental income and invoice payment.
The role holder will deputise in the absence of the Housing Manager.
The successful candidate will excel in communication and organisation, displaying a high level of professionalism while effectively building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders. A strong team player, who enjoys and varied role and possess the ability to use their initiative. Proficiency in IT and database management is essential, alongside exceptional customer service skills.
While experience in property management and knowledge of housing benefits are preferred, they are not essential. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Summary of Role
Working under the direction of our Centre Managers at Arc in the Park and Abbey Hub, Support Workers are key to ensuring the successful delivery of our provision for children and young people. Working with children and young people on and one to one basis and in group settings, the role will support the delivery of our play and youth projects and activities to aid their development and will include providing support to young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.
Responsibilities
·Providing for the social, personal, educational and leisure needs of children and young people (including those with additional needs) by assisting in the running, organisation and delivery of particular projects.
·Establishing positive relationships with all children and young people supporting and enabling them to increase their confidence and realise their potential, fully integrating them into all project activities.
·Coordinating resources and to develop opportunities for children and young people which reflects their particular needs and circumstances.
·Facilitating the active involvement of the children and young people in the planning anddevelopment of the project programme.
·Facilitating the positive integration of children and young people with disabilities, behavioural difficulties and/or additional needs within the project.
·Providing for the personal care needs of the children and young people as required including toileting, changing and feeding.
·Supporting and guiding volunteers, trainees and junior leaders in all of the above, as required.
·Working as a member of the AAA team to ensure the safety and well-being of the children and young people being supervised including day to day 'housekeeping' of the site and maintenance of equipment.
·Liaising with parents, carers and other organisations and professionals as required.
·Adapting activities to meet a child's/young person’s needs as appropriate.
·Carrying out health and safety inspections as required.
·Adhering to AAA policies and procedures in respect of safeguarding children and young people.
·Administering medication and/or carry out tube feeding as required, if appropriate training successfully completed.

Bonny Downs Community Association has been working together to change lives and transform our community since 1998. Over the past 25 years our team has grown to provide a wide array of services that benefit Newham residents from all walks of life.
This role is specifically funded through the Youth Endowment fund as a pilot project ‘Thriving Communities’. You will be required to work alongside Thriving Communities commissioners, as well as the project’s Youth Justice Worker’s, Educational Psychologist, and/or professionals assigned to individual young people’s cases- such as teachers, social workers and mentors. The Thriving Communities project is a small part of a wider collaborative project, EMPOWER YOUTH, delivered by two partner charities so, although this position is based at BDCA, you will be working closely with a second East Ham Youth Partnership Project lead and team of Sessional Assistants based at nearby charity The Renewal Programme (TRP). Staff from each organisation will work together to deliver the programme and cross-refer young people to activities led by both teams. You will also be required to work with BDCA’s own Children & Families team during the summer scheme and liaise with our marketing team all year round. External partner agencies that you will work directly with include Thriving Communities panel, Newham Youth Empowerment Service, Newham Community Engagement Team, local sports clubs and schools.
